~Lapdragon’s Lightweight Item Sorting~
A very old mod that started with the fact that “colander” does not have 2 L’s in it…
This is my collection of “sorting” mods (like Valdacil’s and the others), except I did not go for tags on the items for the most part, I merely popped a space onto the front of the item’s name if I wanted it to float to the top. I’m really not fussed about sorting all the armors and weapons properly, the game does a decent-enough job to start with, but there’s certain things that REALLY needed to be fixed (like colanders).
This mod is broken up into four pieces:
Aid:
1. Puts a space at the beginning of all of the “chems”, so that they sort to the top of the Aid category – this makes putting them into the medkit box at home base quicker.
2. Puts the word “Raw” in front of all cookable meats – “Deathclaw Meat” becomes “Raw Deathclaw Meat” – this sorts the cookable meats all together in the inventory.
3. Food and Alchohol get a [Fd] and [Bz] tag, respectively – I really didn’t want to go with a tag, but having them all mixed together makes my OCD hurt.
4. Assorted naming fixes – I capitalized some of the names properly (Ash blossom to Ash Blossom)
5. I’ve integrated MooKittyBonnie’s Simple Bug Fixes to appropriate items. If you use her mod, load mine after hers so that the sorting changes stick.
##NOTE## The Aid sorting mod requires HerpDerp’s excellent Chems Redux for it’s updated meshes – I’ve gotten permission from him to use his meshes in this mod, so you no longer need to go get his. I’ve packed in the Glowing chems version – if you want the regular non-glowing chems, then definitely grab them from his mod page!
Ammo:
1. Puts a space at the beginning of all of the ammo, so that they sort to the top of the list when looking at the general inventory.
2. Puts a space at the beginning of all of the explosives, so that they sort to the top of the weapons list – I like to put them into their own box at home, so this makes finding them in the weapons list vastly easier.
3. Puts the word “Round” into ammo that didn’t have it, just to standardize the ammo.
4. Assorted naming tweaks – nothing major, but I’ve made minor adjustments to things like the .45 round, to be .45 ACP Rounds.
Magazines:
1. Puts a space at the beginning of all of the Magazines, so that they sort to the top of the “Misc” category – this makes putting them into their racks at home base vastly quicker.
2. This part is an actual change to the game – there are 4 magazines missing in the vanilla game, 3 La Coiffe mags, and 1 RobCo Fun. I’ve rebuilt the magazines and reinserted them to somewhat appropriate locations ingame. The RobCo one does NOT have a functioning game attached – Bethesda didn’t include it into the game, so I couldn’t restore it.
La Coiffe 2: in the North End Boxing Gym
La Coiffe 3: not placed yet – I’m taking suggestions!
La Coiffe 4: in the Old Corner Bookstore
RobCo Fun 3: in the Wilson Atomatoys Factory (not the Corporate HQ).
Junk/Misc:
This is the one that’s probably going to upset people – there are a bunch of assorted things that bugged me about scrapping junk items for parts, so I took the liberty of adjusting them – I’m pretty sure that the bulk of screwdrivers in the world were no longer using wooden handles, and any pair of quality scissors that I’ve ever owned had a screw or rivet in them – so I’ve adjusted a few of the scrap recipes to be slightly more realistic IMHO.
1. Bobbleheads have been renamed to “Bobblehead – ZZZYYYXXX”, instead of “ZZZYYYXXX Bobblehead” – this lumps them all together in the inventory, and you can find them without hunting past “B” in the inventory to put them into their stand.
2. All Bones have been prefixed “Bones – XXXZZZYYY”, so they group together.
3. All Empty containers (bottles, paint cans, etc) have been renamed so they group together.
4. All Pool balls have been numbered instead of named – “One Ball” is now “1 Ball”, this puts them all together in a group, and I’ve also added a space to their name, so that they sort to the top and lump together.
5. All “pre-war” items have been renamed to actually say that they’re pre-war instead of just “clean” or “pristine” or whatnot, additionally they’ve all had the “not junkket ammo” keyword added, and they’re tagged as prewar items (for whatever purpose that has, I don’t know – I just standardized it).
6. All “valuable” junk has been tagged as “not junket ammo” – I really didn’t want to be using duct tape, wonderglue, or lightbulbs as junkjet ammo, when they’re vastly more valuable as adhesive and copper. I’m taking suggestions for more things to add to that list.
7. All of the “base materials” MISC items (like Steel, Copper, Adhesive, Springs, Screws, etc) have had the tag [ws] added – this sorts them to the bottom of the Junk section, so that they group together, and also don’t sit next to any identically-named junk items (like the Gear world item).
8. All of the “burnt” books/comics/magazines have had cloth added to them (1 for magazines, 2 for books), so that they have a function in the game. This also adds the side-benefit of making them glow with the Scrapper perk. I’ve also added a single cloth to the “Folder” item, for the same reason.
9. All of the “dog tags” items (BoS holotags and dog tags) have been made unscrappable and flagged as not junket ammo – I know it’s not completely realistic, but the concept of scrapping a soldier’s dog tags for a single bit of steel just didn’t sit well with me. These guys are entrusted with maintaining our freedoms, and I don’t like even symbolically belittling that in a video game. I’ve done the same with the Tri-Fold flags, purely for respect purposes.
10. Not optional, but also not game-breaking: this is the assorted scrapping tweaks I’ve made – there’s likely too many to list, but there’s a fair number of them also included in the Mo Betta Scrap mod – we kinda worked towards the same goal at the same time, so there’s some duplication. If you use his mod, load it before mine, and any naming changes I’ve made will overwrite. I promise promise promise that none of the changes here will ruin the game for you – you’ll have to trust me that they’re appropriate, and worth having if you want the sorting fixes too.
### Built with FO4Edit
### Many Thanks to HerpDerp for allowing me to package in his Chems Redux meshes, so that we don’t have to deal with compatablity patches!

Easy, It makes the cursor bigger, I found the vanilla cursor a little too small, specially if you have a huge monitor, so I made it twice as big.

Sick of sorting through the mess that is your inventory and personal chests? I was. So I made this mod! It adds prefix tags to a large number of items. This makes navigating your inventory and finding what you are looking for much easier!
[AID]
Alcohol – Pretty self explanatory.
Chem – Things you put in your body to make you forget about your dead wife and stolen child and everything you knew being replaced by an ever present haze of violence and death. Oh and they make you better at stuff. Also you can get addicted which is like…a total bummer…man.
Drink – Gives HP. May or may not give rads.
Drink II – Gives HP and bonus effect(s) (such as +AP, +SPECIAL stats, etc)
Food – Same as Drink
Food II – Same as Drink II
Med – Things that improve your well being in some fashion without the risk of addiction. Eat a whole bottle of Rad-X and inject 137 stimpacks? Go for it!
Syringe – Syringes for shooting at other things.
[MISC]
Bobblehead – Bobblehead
Holotag – A holographic dog tag. That’s what this is. What am I doing with my life? I swear a few of these little descriptions serve a purpose.
Holotape – The story of the people of the Commonwealth…and other things that are stored on holotapes.
Key – not a key. haha. just kidding, it’s a key. good times, right?
Mag – Perk magazines and rad comics.
Note – The same as a Holotape except with paper.
Password – Holotapes and Notes containing passwords.
PO – Public Occurrences
Quest – Items related to Quests
Useless – Items that have no value, interaction, or purpose. Literally useless.
[ARMOR]
Bandana –
Body – can be worn under armor
Dogmeat –
Eyes –
Head –
Outfit – cannot be worn under armor
I did not include individual armor pieces (chest, arms, legs) because the tags don’t work if the piece has been modded as this renames the item. I may need the GECK to fix this (and to ensure that the tag stays at the beginning of the name)
I did not (and will not) include [Weapons] because you can name them whatever you want (I recommend the ammo type as a prefix for each gun)
I did not include [Junk] or [Ammo] because…yeah, I’m just not going to do that. There’s no point.
The only mods that conflict with this are mods that change records on the same items.
For example: The mod Perfectly Preserved Pie Perfected changes the caps value and health restoration for the PPP.
– If you let PPP’s plugin load after InvImp’s plugin you will see the value/health changes but not the “Food -” tag.
– If you let InvImp’s plugin load after PPP you will see the “Food -” tag but not get the value/health changes
Thankfully, creating patches for other mods is incredibly easy!
– If you use a mod that changes any of these items and need a patch, just let me know so I can download the mod and make a patch! Simple as that
– Once a patch is made for said mod: load order doesn’t matter as long as the patch loads after both this mod and the other mod. Make sense?
NMM/MO: Install and activate as you would any other mod.
Manual: Why aren’t you using a mod manager? In any case move the Inventory Improvements.esp into (steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data)
Uninstall: bby pls no :(…if you must, simply deactivate through your mod manager or delete the .esp from your Data folder.
Note: This mod is safe to uninstall mid-save. You will still get the warning about missing content the next time you launch the game, but I assure you there will be no negative effects from loading the save. All your item names will revert to normal and you can have your messy inventory back…you heathen.
[FUTURE PLANS]
– I want to add Chest, Arm L, Arm R, Leg L, and Leg R tags, but again as soon as you modify the armor the tag disappears. Once the GECK releases I will be looking into properly applying persistent tags to the [Armor] section.
– I’m considering expanding this to the DATA tab to sort quests by Main, Side, Radiant. May release as a separate mod as that isn’t really “Inventory”. (I haven’t actually looked into this yet and may not do it if it’s going to screw up quests somehow. Should be doable though)
[FAQ]
Ok, no one has actually asked any questions. So I’ll just preemptively answer questions I think I might get.
Q: Can you make a patch for [insert mod here]?
A: Read the Compatibility section.
Q: You mislabeled/missed [insert item here] A: That’s not a question…but yeah, let me know if I messed anything up! It was a lot of records to go through!
Q: How is this different than [insert sorting mod here]?
A: I scoped out the available sorting mods and was generally dissatisfied. They either had way too many tags (which, to me, is counter-intuitive to simplifying the inventory) or were lacking in certain areas. Ultimately it’s a matter of opinion and you should choose whichever one makes sense to you!
Q: Can I install/update/uninstall mid-game?
A: Make sure you read every mod’s description page carefully!

Veps Better Item Names
Somehow it bothered me to have a lot of items with the same names or irrelevant names in my inventory(Like “Note”, “Letter”,… See the Screenshot)
So I renamed all such objects according to their content/relevance (corrected almost all notes, books, useless misc items) and treated a few similar misc Items (bobbleheads, models, mini games,etc..) as well after some requests. See the Changelog.
Installation :
Option 1 : with NMM
Option 2 : manuall : Copy the esp file to your Data Folder and activate it with some mod managers.
This mod will conflict with any mod changing the object names, so if you have more like this one, the effect depends on your load order, so pay attention.
Enjoy!

Poorly-Programmed Pip-Boy Pong Port (Pip-Pong) by BitMage
It’s crazy that not one custom Pip-Boy game exists on the Nexus so, “FIRST!”
This a cheap and hacky Pip-Boy game with a holotape that let’s you play it.
I’m bad at art and coding! Instead of reporing bugs, make the game better yourself.
I WANT YOU to make a better version!
Right now the only way to obtain the “Pip-Pong” holotape is with the console command additem x000800
I consider this a modders’ resource and will post the source. My game is full of bugs and poorly laid-out. Please take my version as a proof-of-concept and run with it.
I’m inventing a (fake) “Creative Commons Chill Out License”: I won’t care if you copy this without crediting me as long as you are as chill about copying as I am
ISSUES:
It seems that someone will have to reverse-engineer Bethesda’s AS3 classes to implement sound as well as a way to read the state of the W,A,S,D, and TAB keys.

1.1 – bug fixed (missed to include one file..many thanks mm137 for finding it so fast)
Description:
At last, no more over brighten map on Power armor !
Nothing more to explain, check images.
All I did was tweaked a material effect file. Vanilla was a bit-dark gray one and I made it pure black.
( “FBlack.dds” is a copy of default file “Black.dds”, I didn’t edit original shared file because is being used to other stuff to,like decals etc)
Optional:
I like to have color in pipboy’s interface in general, mostly on map. It’s better, cleaner and feels sharper due to removed FX.
You have to add this (or change to if you already have that line) to your Fallout4Custom.ini (or Fallout4.ini,prefer the custom ini) if you want color on map
[Pipboy] bPipboyDisableFX=1I use this on map images which I recommend !

Description
A replacer for the pip-boy World Map, available in 8k resolution, that gives an aerial view of the Commonwealth as it looks in game. Made using the game’s LoD meshes and textures, among other things. It also extends the boundaries of the pip-boy map, showing some of the landscape that lies outside of the playable area.
The mod is available in both full colour and monochrome versions, and there are optional files using a 4k texture rather than 8k. While these are lower quality they allow you to zoom out further on the world map. It’s mainly a personal preference, as there shouldn’t be any noticeable performance impact when using either version.
Installation
Extract the contents of the zip file to your Fallout4/data folder.
Enable SatelliteWorldMap.esp using a mod manager or manually.
Ensure these lines appear in either your Fallout4Prefs.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
For the colour version, you’ll need to make a few additional edits to your Fallout4Custom.ini:
[Pipboy]
bPipboyDisableFX=1
[Display]
fPipboyScreenEmitIntensityPA=1.25
fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensityPA=0.15
This will force your pip-boy text colour to white, which is annoying but sadly unavoidable. Your HUD colour will stay the same, though.

What this mod does
Removes the enemy indicators from Compass
Removes the location icons from Compass
Removes enemy health bars
Removes Stealth meter (no more HIDDEN, DETECTED, CAUTION or DANGER) indicator.
Moves and resizes HUD elements to the edges of the screen. (See Screenshots)
VATS: Recolours friend/foe name, legendary/skull icons and all resistances (if you have the perk) to white. (See Screenshots)
As a result of these changes, you become more cautious, you have to use your judgement when attacking over whether to spray more bullets at a charging enemy or whether to tuck tail and run for it. Also no more 360 spins looking at your compass for blips, that was a major immersion killer for me.
Most noteable difference comes about at the end of a battle, you have no idea if there are any enemies left, no more safe HIDDEN message to let you know, you have to look around and tread carefully!
Also as a side effect, you must be more careful if you want to steal from friendly areas (we’ve all done it).
Why I made this mod
I use DEF_INV Improved Inventory mod and he recently updated it to show the scrap components to items
as you mousover them, a hugely valuable addition in my opinion. However it conflicts with MyHud, so
I decided to take the HUDmenu from DEF_INV and edit it myself to make it more to my taste. I then had
various people on Facebook asking me to send it, so figured others on the Nexus might want it too.
As a result this mod is compatible with DEF_INV 0.16 at the last time of testing
DISCLAIMER
Use this at your own risk. I have only tested this mod with my setup, so if you encounter any problems then let me know and I will see what I can do. I am not a modder, so my skills are highly limited!

——————————————UPDATED———————————————
Now featuring all the great stuff, but now with a smaller, sleeker UI, Dynamic AP bar, Aim only crosshair dot(slightly bigger), and I even got the compass up on top!! I’m starting to git gud
Endorse and stuff!
1 – No more enemy HP
2 – Crosshair is now a little comfy dot (only when aiming)
3 – no more hit markers. This isn’t call of doodle
4 – no more bullet count. Each shot is now more intense when you aren’t glancing over, and doing more counting in your head behind cover!
5 – your HP is now a bar. it does not say HP
6 – No enemy indicators. Now you gotta really look for them… Come around that corner on guard! We ain’t mind readers, ya digg?
7 – no AP bar
8 – no brackets around “pick up items”
9 – no more sneak indicator.. Listen to your surroundings.. Be cautious…
10 – BEST PART—— NO MORE ANNOYING CROSSHAIR ANIMATIONS!!!! YAAAAAAY!!! now just a little dot. Dots are cool :3
(somebody please make stuff a little smaller and upload? I dunno how to do that…)

tune all u want and press Ctrl+S to save file
save file into fallout 4\Data\Interface\DEF_CONF\DEF_HUD.xml
play game
i can’t try it with different screen ratio, but if u have stretched picture in-game in 5:4 try to set 0.7 in DEF_HUD.xml
important.
if u changed fSafeZone in fallout4.ini before – bring back default values or set same values in DEF_HUD.xml in
that HUD full compatible with my another mod, actually that is the only reason why i made that HUD

Gets rid of power armor hud. For those who want it without. I think i could do a version of this which retains the rain effect cos i suspect that may be gone also atm in this version, i just am uploading this cos some people are asking for it. screenshots are blurry around the edges because my character was on buff-jet or something.
